The
news has come in from the Reuters, that the Association of Real Estate Funds
(AREF) has appointed Bill Hughes, managing director of Legal&General
Property (LGP), as its new chairman.
To
your knowledge Bill Hughes is a man who oversees management of 17 funds with a
total asset value of more than 11 billion pounds at LGP, replaces Nick Cooper,
global chief executive of ING Real Estate Select.
"The
unprecedented market conditions in which we are currently operating represent
both a number of opportunities and threats, so it is more important than ever
that industry participants work together," Hughes said in a statement.
